Sending the *info Newsletter via e-mail is an excellent way to reach aThis marketing program is part of the Sage Preferred Vendor Program large number of contacts in a cost effective and efficient way. However, due to increasing efforts to control SPAM, your legitimate message may get lost in the mail. What options do you have?

Outlook, ACT!, and Sage SalesLogix are effective engines for generating bulk e-mail messages, each with its own characteristics. ACT! and Sage SalesLogix, for example do not currently allow you to send WC3 compliant HTML e-mail content — which is our recommended format for the newsletter notification e-mail. Outlook is limited to small batch sizes, making a larger newsletter blasts extremely time consuming.

We recommend a service called Swiftpage that we use internally to generate our e-mail marketing campaigns. It can send WC3 compliant HTML, has very large e-mail batch sizes, and has the added benefits of tracking openings and “click-thrus”, and other statistics. It also has an application interface to ACT! by Sage, Sage SalesLogix, and Outlook allowing you select e-mail contacts from within each application and send the e-mail messages from the Swiftpage e-mail servers. It also writes back a link to the history tab in ACT! by Sage and Sage SalesLogix.

We have been using Tango for years for all of our Sage Abra and Sage MAS 90 newsletters. The content and layout are great and they are always accommodating to our efforts to personalize it in certain areas. Above all it is a good value and very easy to turn around and get out quickly! It is a wonderful and cost effective way to keep your customers in the know!
